A recent article on iMedia Connection showcases how the Canadian Anti-Spam Law has affected traditional marketing strategies in Canada. Due to the strict anti-spam regulations designed to drive spammers out of Canada, all Canadian companies have to obtain a new and updated opt-in form for every email address that ends in .ca.

It also meant that it could easily track which text messages came from Canadian area codes and be completely compliant with CASL .
